Brandon “Hart” aka Brandon Pitts was born September 16, 1989 in Berkeley Ca to Arrieanna Lombard and Mark Pitts. Brandon moved to Antioch Ca at 13 years old the attended deer valley high school, shortly after graduating in 2007 Brandon developed a small clothing company witch is known today as purple hart collection.

In 2010 Brandon dropped his 1st big design titled going “H.A.M.”. This sprung him into instant popularity through out the Bay Area.
Purple Hart is due to drop there fall line 9/28/11. Stay on the look out for it. Its sure to be pretty dope!!

ST’s resume reflects that he has already been apart of the entertainment industry for some time now.

Amber Rose Lashes Out At Vibe For ‘Negative’ Cover Story: “F–k Vibe Magazine!”

In Vibe magazine’s ‘Sexy Issue,’ model Amber Rose not only graces the cover, but she gave a candid interview where she dished on her past relationship with ex-boyfriend Kanye West and her brief rebound relationship with Reggie Bush. Apparently, she wasn’t happy about what was written, because she took to twitter to voice her distaste with the magazine and their reporting.

“Just read “my” interview in @VibeMagazine half of the story was untrue & ridiculous! F##K that Cover F##K @VibeMagazine yall wrote a bunch of negative bullshit that I never said or did. Yall don’t give a f*ck that I have a Mom & Family thats gonna read that fake ass shit I gave yall a truthful interview & Yall f##ked me. I’m so sick of keeping my mouth shut I didn’t ask for this life it was handed to me. I was nothing but nice to everyone I spoke to @ Vibe”

She didn’t get into any details about what part of the interview or feature was false, but earlier this week, themagazine published the following excerpts from her interview:

On Life Post-Kanye
What am I supposed to do? Crawl up in a corner and die ‘cause I’m not with Kanye anymore? Am I supposed to go back to the strip club and not take these opportunities that I have?

On her relationship with Reggie Bush
Me and Reggie [Bush] dated very briefly after Kanye…We were both each other’s rebound and we both knew that and were cool with that.

On why her story is relatable
I don’t have rich parents and it’s a struggle. I can’t just call my dad and be like, ‘Dad, my money is a little messed up. Can you buy me a car or a house? It’s not like that for me. I feel like more people will relate to my story than the Kardashians or the Hiltons.

On being iconic
Kanye would always tell be how beautiful I was and that I was going to be iconic. He always said that, ‘Baby, you are iconic. You don’t understand what you have. I didn’t. I didn’t understand it.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds as her publicly lashing out can have fans questioning the magazine’s credibility, however, every single interview that is published in magazines are recorded which means it can easily be proven.

Meet Jae Tips, twenty-year-old rapper from the Bronx NY, since the age of fifteen he has been spitting and recording tracks from his dell laptop-using cool edit pro. Friends nicked name a young Jaequan “Jae Tips” after the 2004 track by J-kwon titled Tipsy, Even though the name was a joke it stuck, People say his rap style is a sort of an art how it paints pictures with lyrics. Telling stories of his struggle, progress, problems, love and his obsession with sneakers. He says he feels he has nothing to celebrate yet so he doesn’t party with most of his peers or attended events.

An overall hard worker is what you can call Jae Tips. Working a fulltime job to assist his mother and younger brother while giving away his free time and left over funds to studio time, video shoots and of course the newest and rare soles.

Music made from the heart of a determined young man to not only chase his dreams, but to catch it and share success with others just like him.

Anthony “The Bonafide Scribe” Griffith was born April 26, 1989 in the Bay Area. It was clear from a very young age that he had a passion for writing especially Poetry. At 14, he discovered Tupac Shakur’s The Rose That Grew From Concrete and from that point kept a notebook to scribble down his poetry. He often wrote poetry as way to vent his emotions through a creative outlet. As an extraordinary basketball player and an exceptional student, his talent for poetry was often overshadowed and nearly forgotten. In secret, Anthony developed a unique blend of conceptual rhymes and ballistic delivery that caught many listeners off guard. He expanded his abilities for rhyming by practicing freestyles whenever he could find time to himself. In High School, he transformed from the soft spoken silent type into a full blown spoken word artist who captivated audiences with imagery and masterful metaphors. He founded the first spoken word poetry club at St. Joseph Notre Dame High School with the fellow poets Yshmael Espinosa, Gabriel Silvers and Katelyn Lucus. Anthony’s love for Poetry was fueled in this competitive cultivating environment. Whenever he had free time, Anthony read the dictionary to expand his talents. He wrote vigorously in the same composition notebook until long after he graduated in 2008. In this time, he was set on finally performing in a SLAM competition. With new material and constant efforts of Katelyn Lucas, the virtually unknown artist stepped into the Grand Lake Coffee House for the Golden State Slams One Year Anniversary and walked out in 1st place. Since 2010, Anthony has been studying and honing his craft in preparation for more chances to paint the world in a different light. The name “Bonafide Scribe” is taken from the nickname his poetry club gave to themselves which means genuine writer.

“It” isn’t something contrived. “It” cannot be manufactured. “It” is what is required for one to truly be esoteric. And in every sense of the word, DB has “it”. Amidst a sea a fledging independent and unsigned rappers DB states, “There’s no traffic in the lane I’m riding in.”

“I make inspirational music. I just tell it from my perspective as a everyday person.”

DB, thus far, has been inspired to release 3 solo mix tapes, (a Rich man’$ Mixtape by DJ Bizrok, Stay Classy Mixtape by DJ Bizrok, Black Entourage by DJ Kleptic), 1 solo album (How To Be a Rich Man), in conjunction with writing a testimonial to be released in 2011 “C.S.R. Files”. Promoting his projects persistently, be it video, performing, or promoting via social networks, DB refuses to rest until his purpose is heard by the masses.

His confidence reflects in his music, as does his passion for his craft. What some see as a disadvantage in being from the West Coast (the Bay Area in particular), DB see’s as an opportunity because there’s From growing up on the South Side of Richmond, California to spending over 6 years in the shadows of lavish casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada, DB has experienced extreme peaks and valleys in his tumultuous young life and this is very apparent when listening to his music.

Physical presence as well as lyrical presence, DB patiently waits his turn to make an impact on the world via the vehicle that is rap music.

NeCo, 19, a New York based rapper (from White Plains), started expressing himself lyrically around 5th or 6th grade, but started getting serious with music his freshman year of high school. He started releasing tracks and putting himself out for the masses his junior year of high school. Post graduating high school, he attended St. John’s University (where J. Cole attended) for 2 years, then he stopped so he could put his focus on music. “I let the music speak for itself,” say NeCo, in regards to trying to describe what kind of artist he is. Inspired by Common, Lupe fiasco, 2 Pac, Biggie, and Pun, NeCo hopes to increase in talent and creativity. His focus, right now, is helping the group that he is apart of, but within the next couple of months, all of his music will be available online. NeCo’s plan for the immediate future is to drop a couple more videos and his mixtape (which he plans to drop with DJ Ill Will and DJ Rockstar or DJ Cannon). Not wanting to have the pressure to continuously put out music at an older age but still be in the limelight, he hopes to one day have a similar career to Lil Wayne when it comes to Young Money. Raymond “Ray Guevara” Carter was born March 9, 1989 in Oakland,CA. In September of that same year, he learned how to walk, a clear indication that he was advanced far beyond his time and that trait would follow him throughout life. At a very young age he became VERY intrested in music, and used his intelligence, as well as his advanced diction to began writing full songs at the tender age of ten. By the Age of 12 he fell in Love with HIP-HOP music after purchasing Jay-Z’s “The Blueprint” and wrote music EVERY day prior to that. As a scholar student, and exceptional Basketball player Ray put music on the back burner (aside from writing), to excel in education which he accomplished by graduating with a B average. Directly after High School, he enrolled in Junior College and shifted his focus back to Music. His execeptional wordplay, unique voice, clever metaphors and song writing ability helped him record many original songs, and caught the attention of many in the bay area. Shortly after, he joined the short lived group Tha Flatlinerz and began his journey to musical stardom. The stage name “Ray Guevara” is a ode to The Cuban Revolutionary Che Guevara, and a reminder to stand up for what you believe in. Ray is an incredibily gifted and diverse artist. He contains Charisma, intelligence, creativity, and incredible lyricism. He is a very humble young man with a real love for Hip-Hop and music in general. Some of his Many influences are Jay-Z, Andre 3000, Big-L, Mac Dre, Lil’ Wayne, and 50 Cent. This young man has a very strong drive accompanied with a tremendous amount of talent, and a solid personality that will surely take him far. Prepare to Get Familiar.

As I’ve been interviewing California based clothing lines and designers I came across this one that stood out. Oh Man! Clothing was created by a guy named Nam. The line was originally created in the Bay Area. They re-located to the L.A. and Orange County area.

Nam started Oh Man! Clothing back in 2009 after he graduated from high school. It was his way of portraying his passion and love for fashion and urban street wear. He felt that as a lover of fashion he wasn’t getting enough from the industry. So he decided to go ahead and start his own line. Starting Oh Man! Clothing was a way for Nam to express not only is artistic creativity but also himself.

He’s always had a thing for art and business. With Oh Man! Clothing it’s obviously showcasing both talents. I’m not one to wear urban clothing or never quite understood why there are so many of the same clothing lines out there. But with this one I can’t help but creep on their blog, browse their online store and purchase a few things myself. Oh Man! Clothing does more than other lines I’ve come across in California.

I love when someone this young has such passion and drive to pursue their artistic dreams. With so many people with the same dream Oh Man! Clothing has made it’s mark and I’m sure they won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
